Ford study reveals 42% US citizens believes that electric vehicles need liquid fuels

Ford has conducted a survey of how knowledgeable the market audience is around electric vehicles and the results are definitely surprising. People from the United States took part in the search for Europe and China, and the results were uploaded to Medium.com.

90% of respondents said that performance and driving enjoyment are not the trump card of electric vehicles, and they are sure that they have not seen any videos on Youtube to change their minds. 67% of Americans and 68% of Europeans believe that electric cars cannot tow or carry a large load.

Weather conditions seem to affect the market of electric vehicles to a maximum. Thus, according to the survey, 80% of Americans would not get an electric vehicle because of the extreme weather conditions prevailing in their place of residence.

Electric cars are also not within the choices of people looking to buy some AWD vehicle. 65% of them do not think of buying an EV. The most important thing though and perhaps the funniest element of research is the following. 42% of Americans believe that electric vehicles need liquid fuels (gasoline or oil) to operate.

This of course, before we accuse American citizens, is due to hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which rather confuse them with purely electric.
