The Siemens Gamesa Rewnewable Energy received a very large order for 1,714 megawatts in the US, among them for the country's largest offshore wind farm so far. The first project is 704 megawatts, where wind turbines SG 8.0-167 DD will be used. The project is projected to operate from the end of 2023 in Rhode Island.
Also, one more project of Ørsted and Eversource, 880 megawatt power will use the same wind turbines and will operate from 2024, as well as a third project of the same company, 130 megawatt power in New York.
