Tesla set new delivery record in third quarter 2019

The deliveries of new cars from Tesla in the past quarter (July-September 2019) around the world reached 97,000. At the same time, the company's production from Palo Alto in the same period amounted to 96,155 units. The previous record of deliveries for Elon Musk's company was recorded in the second quarter of 2019 when Tesla delivered 95,200 units to worldwide customers.

Of the 97,000 deliveries to Q3 2019, the 79,600 were related to Model 3, while 17,400 Model S and Model X. As reported by the American company, 15% of the purchasers of the latter acquired their car through leasing, a percentage reduced to 8% in the case of Model 3.

Model 3 was last month as the most popular model in the Dutch market, recording in just one month (September) 5,768 sales. Noteworthy is the fact that the rankings of the American EV in that market exceeded the previous 30 days those of the second in popularity model which for the occasion were no other than the VW Polo!
