Incentives 54 billion Euro for the environment was approved by Germany
Under pressure from ecological organisations and the increasingly frequent public protests as well as voters, the German government has decided to go ahead with more drastic solutions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the country. The decisions taken under Mrs Merkel initially concern the car industry. Starting in 2023, the financial incentives given by the government to buy an electric car under 40,000 euros will be further strengthened.
As disincentive for the purchase of a conventional vehicle will gradually increase the price of petrol and diesel, in the first phase from 3 minutes per litre. The overall programme of the actions of Germany costs EUR 54 billion and also includes the upgrading of the railway network and the improvement of homes in various ways in order to become less energy intensive.

German government prepares new fuel tax
A major boost is expected to give electric cars a new decision that the German government is preparing by imposing a new fuel tax. The new tax on CO2 emissions that will be integrated into fuels is expected to increase the petrol price by 10 cents and oil by 11 cents (although diesel emits less CO2). Today the average petrol price in Germany is €1.40/lit. and oil 1,24 €/lit.
It is reported that since 2025 this tax will be tripled and by 2030 it has increased by five times. Indeed, the CO2 tax will not only be imposed on petrol and oil, but also on gas, which is much more ' clean ' and economical as fuel. With this move the German government wants to "punish" millions of car owners with thermal engines.
At the moment the Germans are hoping that about a million electric cars will circulate on their roads, but the reality is that they are far less, not only because of the lack of electric cars, but the fact that in Some areas the price of electricity is high.

Electromobility : German investments are expected to come in Greece
Recently in Berlin, the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met with Germany's chancellor, Angela Merkel. Among other, the two leaders discussed a new wave of green investments that will help the country grow faster. During the meeting, Mr. Mitsotakis and Mrs. Merkel agreed to the elaboration of a green investment plan that will take place in the Decade 2020 – 2030.
The two leaders discussed the realisation of a large wave of investment in key areas for the environment. These areas concern renewable energy sources, various environmentally friendly actions, and in particular the electrification where our country presents relative advantages.
Also, the two finance ministers, as well as all the joint ministers, are called up to the next investment Forum in early 2020 to have already coordinated the next steps towards the start of implementing the agreement. A particularly important point of the meeting and a major step towards tackling the effects of climate change is that the German Chancellor has shown to accept the importance of the rescEU initiative, which was quite Cautious so far.

Germany : 24 GW can reach the energy storage by 2030
As part of a parliamentary inquiry, the German government said the combined storage capacity of hydrogen pumps, storage systems in households and power-to-gas infrastructure could be increased from 0.42 GW which is now, to more than 24 GW up to 2030.
According to Clean Energy Wire, the National Network Service, BNetzA, has already foreseen the creation of storage infrastructure in the design of the network, but according to the government, the growing popularity of domestic solar energy storage systems does not It is necessary that it will provide more flexibility to the network.
This is because if the stored energy is used first and foremost to optimize the supply of individual households, it will not be usable by network administrators for balanced network management. Improving capacity in energy storage is vital for a solid development of RES in Germany, while achieving the definitive withdrawal of coal and nuclear power plants.
