Congratulations to the lucky winners - Mr Lee Min Foong from Perak who won a brand new Toyota Prius 1.8L Luxury and Mr Poopaladurai Selvadurai from Melaka who is now the very lucky owner of a brand new Honda CR-Z.
On another note, about 302,700 people attended KLIMS 2013 over the 10 days it was open. Not too bad at all.

Kuala Lumpur, 10 March 2014 – UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd and Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd handed the keys of the Toyota Prius 1.8L Luxury and Honda CR-Z respectively to the lucky winners of the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2013 (KLIMS13) Visitors’ Grand Lucky Draw.
KLIMS13 was organized by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Interexpo (M) Sdn Bhd. The country’s 8thmotor show presentation was held from 15 to 24 November 2013 at the Putra World Trade Centre. The event had attracted 302,715 visitorsover the 10 days of motoring fiesta.
The KLIMS Grand Lucky Draw has been one of the highlights of Malaysia’s motor show where visitors were given a chance to win a brand new car. The Grand Lucky Draw prizes for KLIMS13 had been hotly anticipated as visitors were enticed with two popular hybrid models sponsored by UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd and Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The hybrid cars grand prizes are in line with KLIMS13 theme of “Efficiency in Motion”.
The lucky winners are Lee Min Foong from Perak who is the proud owner of the brand new Toyota Prius 1.8L Luxury and Poopaladurai A/L Selvadurai from Melaka who is the proud owner of the brand new Honda CR-Z.
In the prize giving ceremony for KLIMS13 Visitors’ Grand Lucky Draw, Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor presented the key of the Toyota Prius 1.8L Luxury and Encik Roslan bin Abdullah, President & Chief Operating Officer of Honda Malaysia presented the key of the Honda CR-Z to the winners, witnessed by Datuk Aishah Ahmad, President of MAA.
The winners of the KLIMS13 car give-away were drawn from the lucky draw forms submitted by visitors. The draw was conducted by Datuk Aishah Ahmad during the KLIMS13 Gala Dinner held on 29thNovember at the InterContinental KL Hotel, in the presence of exhibitors and media guests.
Datuk Aishah Ahmad said “As the organizer of Malaysia’s motor show, MAA endeavors to deliver a prolific platform for the auto industry players to excite the market with their technological advancement and their latest as well as up-and-coming product range. We are grateful to UMW Toyota Motor and Honda Malaysia who have enlivened the thrill of visiting KLIMS13 by giving visitors a chance to drive home their iconic hybrids.”
Poopaladurai who won the Honda CR-Z was surprised to have won a car at KLIMS13. He remarked that he had made it a point to visit KLIMS with his friends to enjoy the car show and did not expect to be the lucky winner of the grand prize. Lee Min Foong who won the Toyota Prius was excited to have won the car prize at KLIMS13. He commented “When I was informed by the organizer that I have won the car, I could not believe it until I saw the announcement on KLIMS13 facebook. This is my second time visiting KLIMS and winning a car this time round is a windfall.”
KLIMS13 concluded its 8thpresentation with the participation of 78 exhibitors showcasing a total of 117 vehicles. In line with KLIMS13’s theme of “Efficiency in Motion”, there was a line-up of Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEVs) displays that perked visitors’ attention. KLIMS13 was a hub of car sales activity where visitors were regaled with concept cars, one-of-a-kind vehicles, latest car models and yet-to-be-launched models, as well as automotive products. Other highlights of KLIMS13 included the range of rare classic cars on display, the Malaysia International Auto Salon competition and the Tamiya Remote Controlled Car Indoor Race.
Datuk Aishah Ahmad delivered the ending remark for KLIMS13 with the statement “We have brought KLIMS 8thedition to a resounding finale with the KLIMS13 Visitors Grand Prize presentation. We are looking forward to KLIMS next presentation as the auto industry players strive to solidify their position while Malaysia steers towards the ambition of becoming a regional hub for car markers.”
